In honor of Shark Week we are going to talk about swimming!!! Swimming is a great total body workout. It's a very efficient way to work out major muscle groups in a shore amount of time. Now go jump in that pool!
1. Benefits of Swimming
Swimming is one of the best forms of cardio you can do. It torches calories, works major muscle groups, AND it's low impact on the joints.
Swimming can help manage stress levels & boost your mood.
The average person can burn up to 330 calories in just 30 minutes. Sure beats running!
Swimming will strengthen your muscles, but because it's low impact it doesn't put too much stress on your joints.
It can help you sleep better.
Decrease risk for disease!

I think that covers it! We know how good swimming is for us. We also know what foods to incorporate before and after the swim. So go grab those bathing suits and hop in a pool!
