Okay guys, here I am 9.5 months postpartum, still nursing my son so I am hungry ALL THE TIME!! I put that in caps because I feel like it should be said in slow motion. Seriously though, I'm torching calories, between my workouts and breastfeeding I should be at my ideal body by now, right?
Wrong...I'm totally not there yet and I have a photo shoot for Foster Davis coming up in just a few short weeks. HELP!
So, now I know most of you probably don't have a photo shoot coming up so you can't relate to that, but you might be able to relate on wanting to get to your ideal body as fast as humanly possible!
The key thing we have to do right now, is cut some body fat. We are already working out 3-5 days per week so we got that down, but we are struggling with grabbing foods that are bad for us and putting them in our mouth. Foods that don't help us get to our goal, they keep us stagnant!! Today, I will tell you the snacks that I'm going to be eating for the next few weeks. Snacks that are easy to grab, make, and they will help me get rid of that unwanted body fat. Cheers to that!
1. Cottage Cheese filled Avocado
So this is super easy. Just cut an avocado in half, take out the pit, and fill the pit with 1% cottage cheese. The combination of these two foods help to burn body fat and help keep you full.
2. Tuna on Whole-Wheat Crackers
Another simple dish. Just take a 3 oz can of tuna and I like to add a dash of light mayonnaise (Light Miracle Whip is what I use) and relish. Spread it on 6 whole wheat crackers.
3. Cinnamon Pear and Ricotta
Cut a pear in half and put it on the broiler for 10-12 minutes. While it's cooking, combine a tsp. of cinnamon with 1/4 cup of part-skim ricotta cheese. As soon as the pear is finished warming add the cheesy topping and you are done!
4. Edamame
You can bake this in the oven for one hour with a little salt, pepper and extra-virgin olive oil OR just eat it plain with a tiny bit of sea salt. So easy!
5. Baked Sweet Potato
What I like to do for easiness is wrap a sweet potato with a wet paper towel and put it on the microwave for about 6-12 minutes depending on the size. Once it's not too hot to touch you can just eat it baked or slice it. I like to top my sweet potato with a little coconut oil and syrup. Done. Easy peasy and it's filling!
Alright, now there are no excuses to not getting into my best shape. I have easy snacks that I can make throughout the week when i'm hungry!
