If you're like me than you know how much stress and anxiety can make or break your day. Whether you're sitting in LA traffic or having financial troubles how you're handling stress can play a big role in your level of happiness.
Unfortunately I can't eliminate your everyday problems, but I can help you alter your diet so you're including foods that help reduce stress and decrease foods that heighten anxiety.
1. Foods that help
Here are a list of foods to include that will help decrease your stress and anxiety levels.
Avocado
Asparagus
Almonds
Blueberries
Milk
Salmon
Oranges
Spinach
Oatmeal
Turkey
2. Foods that hurt
These foods will make your anxiety and stress worse. On the daily, try to minimize your intake of the below foods, especially if you're already riddled with anxiety.
Caffeine
Alcohol
Gluten
Sugars, especially refined and artificial
Dairy
Processed Foods
Fried Foods
Soda
Sodium fueled food items
Fruit juice
3. Life changes
Here are a few simple things you can do every day that will help reduce unwanted stress.
Become a planner: Just plan ahead.
Meditate: Control your breath.
A healthy diet
Find that magic sleep number: Get enough GOOD sleep.
Smile: Show gratitue
Laugh: Don't forget to have fun.
Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends
Exercise: Make sure, physically, you're feeling good about yourself.
I know stress and anxiety isn't the easiest thing to overcome, but if you try to implement at least two of these things every week, at the end of 4 weeks you now how a lot of tools in your tool belt.
