I don't know about you, but my life keeps getting bigger and bigger. It seems like every night it's someone's birthday, a business dinner, or an event I have to attend. This is a quality problem of course, but sometimes I just don't have the energy to do it all!

So how we get through it? Well, I did my research and decided that I needed to really focus on fueling my body with energy driven foods. I try to only eat foods that are known to increase energy levels. What are these foods? Today, I'm going to tell you...

1. Bananas

  • Carbs + B6 + Potassium = Energy boost!

  • One of the top foods for boosting energy.

2. Eggs

  • Eggs are packed with protein, contain amino acids, & B vitamins. All of these elements can and will enhance your energy levels.

3. Apples

  • Apples are a fantastic source of fiber and natural sugars which can contribute to long-lasting energy!

  • Apples also contain antioxidants which are excellent for the body.

4. Goji Berries

  • Goji Berries are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and fiber!

  • They also aid in mental alertness & help fight fatigue.

5. Oatmeal

  • Oatmeal will not only give you long lasting energy, but oatmeal contains important vitamins and minerals essential to energy production!

6. Fatty Fish

  • Fatty Fish is loaded with Omega-3's which can help reduce inflammation. Inflammation is associated with fatigue so if we remove it, your energy levels should improve!

  • Fatty fish is also an excellent source of B12.

7. Oranges

  • Oranges are a great source of Vitamin C!

  • Oranges also provide antioxidant compounds which can help fight off fatigue.

8. Brown Rice

  • Brown Rice is high in fiber and low in Glycemic Index.

  • A low Glycemic Index has been linked to regulating blood sugar which can help you maintain energy levels.

9. Beets

  • Beets will help you maintain long lasting energy!

  • They can also help you improve stamina during workouts.

10. Nuts (Specifically Walnuts & Almonds)

  • Nuts contain healthy fats, carbs, and proteins. These macro-nutrients will help you maintain and increase energy throughout the day!
