Fall into Superfoods

With the Fall Season upon us, new foods are going to be readily available for picking! We have a whole new crop of seasonal fruits and vegetables to choose from. Today, I want to share with you which foods will give you the best bang for your buck. Here are Fall's Superfoods!

1. Brussels Sprouts

I don't know about you, but I love me some brussels spouts. Roast them with a little extra-virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar...I could eat them as a meal alone!

2. Apples

Whether you love raw apples or baked ones, you can't go wrong this fall season!
Apples are an excellent source of antioxidants.
They contain 4g of Fiber for every serving.
3. Cauliflower

You can eat cauliflower raw, steam it, or mash it into some mashed cauliflower potatoes.

The Phytonutrients can help lower cholesterol and may help prevent cancer.
4. Pumpkin

No surprise here, pumpkins are in season!
Pumpkin is a great source of Potassium.

5. Squash

Much like fish, you will find many of your Omega 3's in this seasonal delight.

6. Dates

7. Sweet Potatoes

Mash them, bake them, turn them into fries (baked fries)...the world is your oyster with Sweet Potatoes this season.
Sweet Potatoes can help decrease inflammation.

8. Kiwi

One of my favorite fruits of all time! I love that Kiwi's are in season right now. Not only are they delicious, but they are super healthy too!

Not only are Grapefruits a superfood, but if you eat one in the morning they have been linked to an increase in metabolism.
